A lifelong resident of Baton Rouge, Anthony “Buddy” Amoroso has been actively working to improve our community for two decades.
Buddy is the owner of a local small business, headquartered right here in Metro Council District 8. He understands the importance of small businesses to our local economy, the good paying jobs they help to create and why it’s critical that government do everything it can to help them succeed.
Buddy has been an active participant in local government. He is a former Vice Chairman and current commissioner on the Baton Rouge Metropolitan Airport Commission, and he previously served on the East Baton Rouge Parish Alcohol & Beverage Control Board.
An active member of his church, Buddy serves as a Deacon at Christ Presbyterian. He is also proud to be the Scoutmaster for Boy Scout Troop 169.
Buddy is a graduate of Broadmoor High School and holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. He has been married to Denise Waters Amoroso for over thirty years and together they have two daughters, Elaine and Michal Ann, and one son, Joey, a Navy Seaman.
